Vivki Shieber and top staffers of Equal Justice USA are key members of CMN's workshop team. Mrs. Schieber is board chair of Murder Victims' Families for Human Rights. Equal Justice is a national, one-issue organization dedicatiod to helping local and statewide groups plan, organize and advocate for death-penalty repeal. The workshop team accepts invitations to national, state and diocesan conferences for lay and clergy religious educators, social-justice and pro-life activists, and university and high school groups. Workshop A
This Work Shop is for Catholics interested in learning more about the death penalty, the Church's teaching in the matter, practical and moral questions posed by the capital-punishment debate, and opportunities for involvement in repeal efforts.
Workshop B
This three-hour interactive workshop is for Catholics and others who are committed to, or are contemplating involvement in death penalty repeal efforts. In addition to the material presented in Workshop A, it focuses on effective planning, organizing and advocacy techniques; coalition building; legislative strategies; and "making the case" to policymakers and the media.
Workshop C
A one-hour workshop that is an adaptation of Workshop B. It can be used as a resource for facilitators of Workshop A.
